I once heard a little boy say... "Mummy, mummy how much can we enbloc our home for?" Have we really come to this? A nation where our 7 year olds want to make a quick buck from selling their homes?
I raised my children to love and treasure Clementi Park and to fight tooth and nail to preserve the idea of home, of family of community. To relish that no matter how far they roamed through the great wide world and more, this was their little part of Singapore which remained stable and secure, a safe harbour to return to after the wondrous travels they made to foreign shores.
If there's no place like home... there's not place for that home to be enbloced.
